Description: Watercolour and pencil design for a Matron who is depicted wearing a white cloth headdress, a full-length long-sleeved purple gown with red bands around the lower part of the skirt, neckline, and on the sleeves, a short cape with a winged collar, a high-necked white chemise, and a narrow yellow patterned apron. Includes a thumbnail of the neckline of a bodice. A note on the front of the design reads: 'Chorus Ladies'. The note '4' on the front of the design denotes the number of costumes to be made from this design.
