Spellman Collection of Printed Material

Donated by Doreen and Sidney Spellman, this collection includes over 100 illustrated song-sheet covers from the mid-19th to early 20th centuries. They provide illustrations of many of the operas, ballets, pantomimes and concerts performed at Covent Garden during this period. Some covers retain the music for the songs.
