Costume for Florestan’s Sister from The Sleeping Beauty (after Petipa, pr.Wright)

Lila de Nobili designed the costumes for The Royal Ballet's 1968 production of The Sleeping Beauty (staged by Peter Wright, after Marius's Petipa's 1890 original), which was set in the medieval period, rather than the more usual Renaissance period imagined by Petipa and the composer Tchaikovsky. Alfreda Thorogood wore this tutu as Florestan’s Sister in Act III.
