19th century vocal part for Mozart’s Don Giovanni
Manuscript part from 1847, for the recitative in Act I, scene 2 of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, when the baritone role of Don Giovanni was transposed for the tenor Mario. Mario was the most celebrated tenor of his generation, described by the music critic Henry Chorley as ‘the best operatic actor tenor who has been seen in our time’.
